Google today
announced plans for a $600 million expansion of its data center in Lenoir,
bringing Google's total investment in the state to $1.2 billion.
Details related to the expansion were not immediately
available, and the impact on employment was not immediately clear.
Additionally, Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) announced it will
participate in a new program Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) is developing for large
customers that wish to buy renewable energy. The renewable energy option will
